An RSI overbought screener for high volume stocks in overbought territory. RSI above 70 may signal a downward reversal

How this screener works

Requires: 20-day RSI > 70, 5-day average volume > 50,000, 5-day MA < current price, and 5-day price change > +5%. The 20-day RSI above 70 indicates excessive buying pressure and a potential pullback. The additional filters — price above its 5-day average and at least 5% gain over 5 days — confirm the overbought reading reflects genuine upward momentum rather than a stagnant high reading. Useful for identifying short candidates or profit-taking opportunities.

An RSI overbought screener for high volume stocks in overbought territory. RSI above 70 may signal a downward reversal

How this RSI overbought screener builds its list

The RSI overbought screener filters for liquid names trading above an RSI of 70, so the list stays on stocks with enough volume to be tradable.
